Johnny Hartsfield, Founder
Growing up among the forested landscapes near Seattle, Johnny became aware of three essential qualities of nature:  abundance, health, and balance.  Over time, these qualities became the primary drivers behind my passion for ecological preservation and restoration.  As development began to encroach and the forests began to disappear around me, he decided it was time for a change.

Now living in the Seattle satellite neighborhood of Ballard with his wife Sarah and cat Kaya, his lifestyle is more in line with their belief that increasing urban density will help save our diminishing natural resources.  Realizing the dynamics and needs of both the rural and urban environments has helped refine my current mission and value system.

Johnny received a Bachelors of Environmental Science from Western Washington University and a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington.  After working as an Engineering Technician for Snohomish County Surface Water Management and as a sustainable project designer for Mithun and Gustafson Guthrie Nichol Ltd., he realized that developers, not designers, control our built infrastructure.

After leaving the design profession, he pursued experience in the Seattle real estate market as an investment strategist.  It was here that Johnny gained the knowledge and understanding of real estate market trends, factors and opportunities.  He hassince stepped his entrepreneurial foot forward to start GreenFab and become a strong driver behind sustainable building projects.

The culmination of this knowledge will be the foundation for the successful growth of GreenFab.
